“The winter is hard for you, huh? Don’t worry! Luna’s coming along later to install some greenhouse lights.”

“It’s so weird seeing you without the witchy getup!”

 

“Well, it would fall off if I wore it while jogging.”

“I suppose I could? I never really thought about it!”

 

“Not that you’re not rocking the sporty look.”

Despite being engaged to Oli, a plantsim, Abi seems to have really bad luck with nature. Bees are always chasing her, dogs bark at her… I feel so bad for her! :(

“Thanks for coming along today, sweetheart.”

“No worries! It’s cool seeing the place in action, and I’m taking a break from building today. Should we get started tidying up before customers start arriving?”

“…In a minute.”

“Um, hold on, I’m a little busy. Oleander can help if you need anything.”

“Hehe. Thanks for coming to the clinic today. I was so rude to that reporter! You probably saved me from a really bad review.”

 “Nah, you’re doing a good job. You’re way too hard on yourself.”

Emmie: With interest in the town growing, Oleander finally secured the funds to set up a construction company! Happy Homes Construction is now in business. I swung by for a quick chat with our architect. So, Oli! Walk us through it.

 

Oleander: There’s not all that much to say, really… I wanted to keep the office pretty simple. It’s got a big model village for town planning, my drafts table for drawing up ideas… and of course, I’m there to commission when people want something built.

Emmie: Cool! And is that a hot tub out at the front??? :D

Oleander: Just a little one. I’m not wasting resources on luxuries, honest! It’s just because we plantsims need to stay hydrated.

Emmie: Of course! Whelp, I’ll be sure to pop in for a chat when I’m ready to get my press office up and running.

Oleander: How is that going, anyway?

Emmie: Uh… never mind that! I’m the one asking the questions!

“Hi, Robert. Let me know if you need anything.”

“Just taking a look around for now, but will do.”

“Actually, we should discuss building a police station. Clive needs somewhere to hold the burglar they caught a few nights ago, and they could use a real base of operations… maybe over here?”

“Yeah, good idea, Rob! I don’t need Clive trying to turn our pad into a jailhouse, it’s crowded enough as it is. You can fix something up, right Oli?”

“I’ll see what I can do.”

“Your tats are pretty cool, dude! I’ve never seen you without a shirt before.”

“Uh… that’s just my skin? They’re on my legs, too.”

“Oh, right, whatever. I’m not checking out your ass and shit.”

“Ah, greetings. I was just wondering about moving in here. Am I in the right place?”

“Philippine. You can call me Marie.”

“Hello, dear. I sincerely hope Marie hasn’t been disturbing you. I’m Laura St. Julien.”

 

“Are you moving to Hollyhead, too?”

 

“Perhaps. Someone needs to keep an eye on Marie, after all.”

“So I kinda want to open up a workshop, but we might also need an extension on the house for when we have kids, so I dunno… I’ll have to chat with Myrna about our finances, I suck at that stuff.”

“Can you both have kids, like, the genetic way?”

“Well, yeah, sure, with the right potions and shit.”

“Hey, petal.”

“Oh, welcome home, sweetheart. Look at this little guy I found!”

“He’s cute.”

“Yeah. I’ve been feeling so broody lately!! Since I can’t have kids, a fur baby is the next best thing.”

“I could grow us a plantbaby.”

“Hmmm… that’s true. We’ll have to talk family planning before the wedding - work out how many kids we want, etc. I’d like 10, but I’m not sure I could realistically handle it! The thought of being a parent makes me so anxious.”

“Let’s just take it one step at a time, then. First of all: what do you want to call this ball of fluff?”

So I finally got a chance to stop by the clinic today - I don’t know why it’s not open at night more often! Vampires need soup too, y’know??? Abi was hard at work, not talking a lot, but that’s fine, she just gets kinda quiet when she’s really into something. Anyway - her soup is so good!! I bought 3 bowls.

10/10 - highly recommended!
