I guess I should start by welcoming you to our little camp. It's not much but (for the time being) - it's home!

When night falls, I awaken!! Bleh!!

When I’m done with that silly (but fun) nonsense, and once I’ve said hi to everyone, I usually get started with my scribe duties. It’s tough chronicling everything when I sleep through half of it but that’s what talking to people is for!

“So, Rob! How about a quick interview and photoshoot?”

“Ah, jeez, it’s not like I’m some celebrity.”

“You are so! A beacon of hope to all supernaturals! But fine, we won’t talk about you. Let’s talk about how the project’s going! When do we get to move out of this crappy campground?”

“Oleander’s working on construction, and he aims to be done by the end of the season.”

“That long? Man… And how’s about the political side of things?”

“Very well, thank you. Magic Town’s city council is impressed with our work so far, and they’ve given me a promotion.”

“Oh my God, yay for you!!”

“Yes. Now excuse me, I need to clear the table.

It’s cute how our future mayor always says “we”, he is so modest! He downplays his own accomplishments soooooo much. He’s doing such a good job and it is GREAT that he’s so on-it when it comes to helping out around the camp.

Maybe it was a bad idea, but I also got chatting to Raye, and… well! I couldn’t help it!! He is SO hot!

Abi was telling me all about the work she’s been doing - scouring the local area for medicinal herbs and stuff! Really cool. She takes it so seriously though, like any one of us could die any second! Maybe it’s a zombie thing.

“Work went well, then?”

“Oh- yes! I found a type of mushroom I think will be useful in combating the most common types of flu.”

“Excuse me, burning up vampire coming through!! Bleh!!”

“We get it, Emmie.”

“Hey! I finished the first house!”

“Wow, well done. I can’t wait to see it.”

“Want me to give you an exclusive peak right now?”

“Oh, I don’t know. Maybe speak to Emmie about it, I’m sure she’ll be dying to take pictures.”

“Maybe… but I meant like a sort of date. If you’re interested?”

“Oh… oh! Yes, I’d love that.”

“The orange is quite fetching on you. Does that just happen naturally with the changing of the seasons?”

“Sort of, yeah. But thanks! I happen to find the cardigan very fetching on you.”

It might be autumn, but it feels like spring with all the couple-y canoodling that was going on when I woke up today! I can tell Rob thinks I should be directing my journalistic prowess elsewhere, but I can’t help wanting to get some cute pictures of all the love blooming right now!

I guess I got a little swept up in the romantic fever too… oops!

I gotta add, Luna’s werewolf transformations are so freakin’ cool!!! I’m really wanting to get a cool picture of her mid-transformation but she’s always too quick for me, and picks really crappy totally-not-picturesque places for it. Next time, I swear.

Luna and Myrna are usually pretty off in their own world, not really chatting to the rest of us so much, but that’s okay. The guys filled me in on how everything is going!

I managed to wrangle the settlers for a quick group picture, too!

Luna’s still finding time to study on her mechanics, of course. She told me she thinks she’s got the theory worked out now, and it’s just about getting the details right and putting a plan into action. Electricity, here we come!

Then, later that night, Myrna got down on one knee and PROPOSED!!

Eeeeeee! Of course I was in there snapping pictures IMMEDIATELY.

It got me really thinking about Hollyhead. It’s not just going to be us 8 forever! There’ll be marriages, kids, the town growing through the generations…
